Speaker:

Things are gettin’ worse

Speaker:

And all I hear, of course

Speaker:

Is that this is the way it’s supposed to be

Speaker:

Now can you believe that malarkey?

Speaker:

But every time that someone tries

Speaker:

To bring some balance to the lies

Speaker:

We get the same old song and dance

Speaker:

To give the status quo

Speaker:

a chance And we all sing…

Speaker:

Better things aren’t possible And more meat for the grinder

Speaker:

And if you can’t get by

Speaker:

Well, it’s just your time to die

Speaker:

Y’know that’s a cryin’ shame But it’s the price to play the game

Speaker:

They keep saying there’s no way

Speaker:

Every time we want a say

Speaker:

And I’ve heard it all my life

Speaker:

That we’re born to live in strife

Speaker:

But I have seen through lies

Speaker:

With these weary young eyes

Speaker:

And we all sing… Better things aren’t possible And more meat for the grinder

Speaker:

And if you can’t get by

Speaker:

Well, it’s just your time to die

Speaker:

Y’know that’s a cryin’ shame But it’s the price to play the game

Speaker:

But life shouldn’t have a price

Speaker:

And I’m tired of giving advice

Speaker:

It’s gotten really old

Speaker:

Hearing of those hills of gold

Speaker:

Cause we ain’t getting rich

Speaker:

And every time we

Speaker:

bitch We all gotta sing…

Speaker:

Better things aren’t possible And more meat for the grinder

Speaker:

And if you can’t get by

Speaker:

Well, it’s just your time to die

Speaker:

Y’know that’s a cryin’ shame But it’s the price to play the game

Speaker:

But if there’s one thing you take away

Speaker:

From this enthusiastic

Speaker:

display Better things

Speaker:

are possible And we can break

Speaker:

the grinder We’re gonna have to fight like hell

Speaker:

To finally ring a different knell
